Hydro-excavation by suction is an innovation compared to traditional means. It replaces manual work and less adapted equipment. This excavation technique uses water pressure combined with suction. The liquefied soil is brought to the surface and then vacuumed into a 12 cubic yard tank. The compressed air injected in the soil allows the decohesion of the materials.

Pneumatic excavation is used to minimize the excavation area and thus reduce the risk of damaging fragile elements in the soil such as roots, optical fibre networks, etc. With an air injection, it’s possible to weaken the soil and thus be able to vacuum it.
